This batik painting is on silk/cotton (50% silk/50% cotton).
It is hand drawn batik, created with consecutive layers of hot wax and dye, once the painting was finished the wax is removed to reveal the final result. 
 
I love Cambridge aqrchitecture and this is one of my favourite buildings, rarely seen as it is tucked away at the end of a long driveway. The palm trees growing so tall in the city are a wonderful eccentricity!
 
This painting is framed in a wooden oak effect frame.
The framed size is:  52 x 65cm
Unframed the picture is: 35 x 50cm
